Lauryn Hill

Former first lady of the celebrated Fugees Lauryn Hill is expecting her sixth child and confirmed the news at a concert this past Saturday (June 4) in Detroit.
While onstage at Chene Park in the Motor City, a late arriving Ms. Hill announced at the end of her set that she is indeed pregnant after dropping hints throughout the year that she may be expecting at a previous event. Hill currently is a mother of three boys and two girls with oldest son Zion turning 14 this coming August. Fans of Lauryn Hill will no doubt recollect when the singer immortalized her first born in song on the track “To Zion” from her debut solo album The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.
Lauryn, now 35, possibly hinted at her current pregnancy in April while in Los Angeles at Club Nokia by saying onstage, “I keep having these children. I don’t know if I’m the most fertile woman in America. I’ve got five big children, you believe that? If you ask anybody I went to high school with, they’d be like puzzled. Wait till you hear the big secret though.”
No word yet if the big secret is the announcement her current pregnancy or wedding bells in the future. However, motherhood and pregnancy seemingly hasn’t slowed down Lauryn Hill as she has enjoyed a suddenly robust touring schedule in the past few months.
There are no reports about any new recordings from Ms. Hill. L-Boogie is slated to headline this year's Rock the Bells tour alongside Queens rapper Nas.
