Flo-Rida has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).

The 'Low' rapper was pulled over by officers in Miami Beach, Florida in a red and black Bugatti car – worth an estimated $1.7 million – after he swerved in the lane he was driving at around 3.30am on Thursday morning (09.06.11).

Officers said he failed a field sobriety test after they smelled alcohol on his breath, and he was transported to a nearby station and reportedly booked for DUI and driving with a suspended license.

A source told gossip website TMZ the star had a blood alcohol level which was more than double the legal limit.

Reacting to the news on twitter, user Anderson Cruz wrote: “Flo-Rida got caught for DUI last night, he was driving his Bugatti, I didnt even know he had Bugatti money! (sic)”

Another user, Mike Levine, tweeted: “Flo-Rida arrested for DUI. how many subpar songs do u hafta get rich off of before u just pay for a cab/driver? (sic)”

'Club Can't Handle Me' hitmaker Flo - real name Tramar Dillard – hails from the state's Carol City and rose to fame with his brand of rap/pop crossover tracks, such as his 2008 breakthrough 'Low' which was a US number one single for 10 weeks.
