Amber Portwood

“Teen Mom” star, Amber Portwood is in trouble, again.
This Tuesday, she was rushed to the hospital after she reportedly threatened to commit suicide. Portwood was hospitalized in Indiana.
RadarOnline.comreported that Portwood was found unconscious with a rope around her neck and subsequently rushed to the hospital. Radar also reported that a source revealed Portwood later admitted to hospital staffers she had taken a cocktail of pills.
She is now reportedly being evaluated at St. Johns Hospital in Anderson, Indiana.
According to Today.com, MTV said in a statement, “Our understanding is that Amber has been admitted to a local hospital but we have not been able to confirm the accuracy of any reports being circulated and are waiting for further details. Our thoughts are with her and we hope to hear more soon.”
This past weekend, Portwood was in court fighting a domestic battery charge which resulted in no jail time thanks to a plea deal reached on Thursday.
As we previously reported, she plead guilty to two counts of felony domestic battery after attacking her ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirely last year while MTV cameras were rolling. Judge David Happe announced the decision in Madison County Court in Indiana on Thursday. Portwood avoided a possible three-year sentence and a $10,000 fine and will now face two years probation as part of the new plea deal.
The attack was caught on camera and aired in a September 28 episode of MTV’s “Teen Mom.” The episode showed Portwood getting physical with Shirley while their child was present. It sparked a huge public outcry and an investigation leading to Portwood’s arrest.
Luckily, Portwood has avoided jail and being fired by MTV, who kept her around for another season. Portwood is back for the third season of “Teen Mom,” which premieres July 5th at 10 p.m. on MTV.
